H-Stained Glass

I have only been on this list serve for a little over a year. I am an amateur researcher, and Betty helped me with finding information on my relative, Jessie Van Brunt (1863-1947). This relative was actually mentioned in her dissertation. I was able to get a copy of it through my local public library and read the brief review of my relative. I’ve had responses from Jean Farnsworth on this list serve with information about Jessie and Gail Bardhan at Corning Glass in Corning, NY. I’ve had so much fun researching her windows. I most recently uncovered a window of hers kept at a museum in Strasbourg, France after it was removed from an Anglican church in Paris. They totally took down the church built in the 1880’s and built a newer building in the 1970’s. All the windows were removed, but no one could tell me where they were until I really started digging. I love the search!

It was wonderful to have the opportunity to read through Betty’s dissertation! My condolences and prayers go out to her family.
